Concepts Covered: In this lesson, the teacher introduces five new sight words -- words that have to be memorized because they don't follow any particular rules for sounding out words. The teacher reads each sight word and uses it in a sentence, and then all the students read the sight words together. Then she asks one child at a time to pick a sight word and use it in a complete sentence.
