1. Gurushala is a CSR initiative of Vodafone Idea Foundation and Indus Towers Ltd. The unpaid activities are implemented by Pratham Education Foundation and paid activities are implemented by Appinventiv Technologies Pvt. Ltd. Please read this privacy policy (“Policy”) along with the Terms and Conditions (https://gurushala.co/page/terms-and-condition), carefully before using the Website, Mobile Application, and the other associated applications, products, websites and services managed by Gurushala. Your use of the Website, Application, or services in connection with the Application, Website or products ('Services'), or registrations with us through any modes shall signify your acceptance of this Policy and the Terms and Conditions and your agreement to be legally bound by the same. If you do not agree with the Terms and Conditions or Privacy Policy, do not use the Website, Application our products or avail any of our Services.


2. Gurushala is committed to protecting the privacy of Personal Information of their customers which is shared with Gurushala at the time of registration or during communication through the Website, Mobile Application, and the other associated applications, products, websites and services managed by Gurushala.


3. Terms “You”, “Your” and “User” shall refer to the customer or subscriber or visitor of the Website, Mobile Application, and the other associated applications, products, websites and services managed by Gurushala. “We,” “Our” or “Us” shall refer to Website, Mobile Application, and the other associated applications, products, websites and services managed by Gurushala.

 

4. Information Provided by the User

The Application/Website/Services/Products obtains the information you provide when you download and register for the Application or Services or products. During registration at Gurushala, you provide us with (a) name, email address, district, state, phone number, password and school name; (b) transaction-related information, when you make purchases; (c) information you provide us when you contact us for help, publish content, report content; (d) information you enter into our forms for certificates, registering for programs, asking queries. The said information collected from the users could be categorized as “Personal Information”, “Sensitive Personal Information” and “Associated Information”. Personal Information, Sensitive Personal Information and Associated Information (each as individually defined under the Information Technology (Reasonable security practices and procedures and sensitive personal data or information) Rules, 2011 (the “Data Protection Rules”)) shall collectively be referred to as 'Information' in this Policy. We may use the Information to contact you as required, to provide you with the Services, important information, required notices and marketing promotions. We will ask you when we need more information that personally identifies you (personal information) or allows us to contact you. You shall, at any time while using the Application/Services/products, also have an option to withdraw your consent given earlier to us to use such Personal Information or Sensitive Personal Information. Such withdrawal of the consent is required to be sent in writing to us at the contact details provided in this Policy below. In such event, however, Gurushala fully reserves the right not to allow further usage of the Application or provide any Services/products thereunder to you.

 

5.Automatically Collected Information

5a. In addition, the Application/products/Services may collect certain information automatically, including, but not limited to, the type of mobile device you use, your mobile devices unique device ID, the IP address of your mobile device, your mobile operating system, the type of mobile Internet browsers you use, and information about the way you use the Application/Services/products. We also collect other relevant information as per the permissions that you provide. We use an external payment processing company to bill you for goods and services. This company does not retain, share, store or use personally identifiable information for any other purpose.

5b. At the time you register with us for our Services or during the term of Services relating to our products/services, we may require camera and microphone access while you avail such products/services to improve the learning experience. All video, and audio between you and our representatives/volunteers are recorded for quality and training purposes. By agreeing to this Privacy Policy, you consent to our collection/recording and use of your audio/video recordings and personal information for the above-mentioned purposes.


6. Purposes for which Information may be used

The purpose for which your Information may be used includes, but is not limited to the following:

6a. To provide information or services requested by you;

6b. To update you about information and services from Gurushala in which you may be interested;

6c. For internal review purposes of Gurushala;

6d. To improve and update the content of Gurushala including customizing the content and/or layout of Gurushala for each individual user;

6e. To notify users about updates to the Website, Mobile Application, and the other associated applications, products, websites and services managed by Gurushala;


7. We will share your information with third parties only in the ways that are described below in this Policy. Third parties provide certain services which we may use to analyze the data and information to personalize, and help us better your experience or reach out to you with more value added applications, products, information and services. However, these third party companies do not have any independent right to share this information. We do not sell, or share your Information to any external third party. Gurushala will send email notices, messages or contact you to communicate about our services, products and benefits. We may disclose Information:

7a. As required by law, such as to comply with a subpoena, or similar legal process;

7b. To enforce applicable ToU, including investigation of potential violations thereof;

7c. When we believe in good faith that disclosure is necessary to protect our rights, protect your safety or the safety of others, investigate fraud, address security or technical issues or respond to a government request;

7d. With our trusted services providers who work on our behalf, do not have an independent use of the information we disclose to them, and have agreed to adhere to the rules set forth in this Policy;

7e. To protect against imminent harm to the rights, property or safety of the Application/Website/ Think and Learn Private Limited or its users or the public as required or permitted by law;

7f. With third party service providers in order to personalize the Application/Website/Services/products for a better user experience and to perform behavioural analysis;

7g. Any portion of the Information containing personal data relating to minors provided by you shall be deemed to be given with the consent of the minor's legal guardian. Such consent is deemed to be provided by your registration with us.

We adopt reasonable security practices and procedures, to include, technical, operational, managerial and physical security controls measures that are commensurate with the information assets being protected with the nature of our work.

You acknowledge and agree that the Website, Mobile Application, and the other associated applications, products, websites and services managed by Gurushala  shall have no responsibility for any information, content, products, services, advertising, code or other materials which may be provided by or through third-party websites. Links to third-party sites do not constitute an endorsement or sponsorship by Gurushala of such third–party sites or the information, content, products, services, advertising or other materials presented on or through such websites.

You agree that Gurushala and/or its affiliates shall not be responsible for any damages that You may incur arising from Your use of any products or services made available by third-parties through the Website, Mobile Application, and the other associated applications, products, websites and services managed by Gurushala. Gurushala reserves the right to modify this privacy statement & Terms and Condition at any time, so please review it frequently.

When you use certain features on our website like the Gurushala Communities or Clubs you post or share your personal information such as comments, messages, files, photos, will be available to all users, and will be in the public domain. 19e. Gurushala assumes no liability for any loss or damage arising from any unauthorized use of Your account on Gurushala by a third party. Any reliance on the contents of a third–party website shall be at Your own risk and You hereby agree to assume all responsibilities and consequences resulting from such reliance.
