The KSA is a Middle Eastern country located in southwest Asia
with a total estimated population of 33,413,660 people (of whom,
20,768,627 are Saudi citizens) as of 2021 (General Authority of
Statistics, 2021). As of 2020, KSA has a Gross Domestic Product
(GDP) of $793 billion and a GDP per capita of $48,948. Based on
the United States (US) News & World Report, KSA is ranked 35
among the overall best countries (US News, Saudi Arabia, 2020).
The 2000 World Health Organization (WHO) report for health systems ranked the healthcare system in KSA 26th out of 190 countries (WHO World Health Systems).
