RE-IMAGINING THE ROLE OF TEACHERS & TECHNOLOGY: IN CONTEXT OF COVID & NEP

Teachers have always played an important role in the teaching-learning process by building their capacity in the usage of a variety of digital technologies and platforms. Additionally, teachers have used technology innovatively to not only develop knowledge of students across various grades and subjects but also their 21st-century skills that are crucial to be successful in today's society and economy and address the challenges of sustainable development, poverty, etc. The COVID-19 Pandemic has lead to a major shift in the adoption and usage of technology by both students and teachers for education across all levels. The NEP has also recommended several policies to promote the use, integration and equitable access of online and digital education.

Gurushala is organizing an online conference for the students and faculty of colleges providing pre-service teacher education. The conference will include interactive workshops and panel discussions conducted by experts in the field of education and allied fields. The conference will also include a competition for the participating college students to showcase their knowledge and skills and will give them exposure to how they can leverage technology is their future professional.
