School is a place that provides education and education is the key to life and hence every person has the inherent right to choose his/her way of life. In India where the economic disparity is extremely apparent, it is almost impossible to attain uniformity in all spheres, especially education. We follow a democratic form of governance and hence privatization of schools is not only permitted, but is also encouraged.
Right to education is a fundamental right and it includes right to choice of education. I speak in favour of privatization of schools, but at the same time I do not trivialize the importance of public schools, they must exist for the people who cannot afford expensive private schools. However for the other privatization of schools is a boon as providing quality education to children is the ultimate dream of every parent.
The biggest difference parent finds between private and government schools is medium of learning. The mode of communication of many private schools is English and in India we draw a direct nexus between speaking English and being educated.
Secondly, Most of the government institutes lack basic facilities like electricity and proper classrooms etc., whereas private school tries to provide an environment that helps in learning better.
Thirdly, private schools bring more ideas related to extra-curricular and social activities or inter-school competitions for engaging students. Through these activities, they prepare children to face challenges in future. They try to boost confidence and improve the personality of each individual. Besides, in some good government schools, these activities are less or absent.
Fourthly, the teachers in the private schools are paid higher than in the government schools and thereby keeping them motivated and do justice to their job. Moreover, the quality educators/teachers are attracted more towards private schools than government schools thereby by default making the quality of education much better in private schools than in government schools.
Hence to conclude, privatization of schools is of utmost importance and it is extremely essential that it co-exists with government schools.

Education should be free to all – both in elementary and secondary stages. It is essential for the development of human personality and moral living. If education is restricted to only a privileged section it will be a huge injustice to the rest of the society.
