Why is Sulphuric acid not used?Is Sulphuric acid harmful to humans?

Sulfuric acid is a very dangerous chemical. It is extremely corrosive and toxic. Exposure can occur from inhalation, ingestion, and through skin contact. Inhalation of H2SO4 may cause irritation and/or chemical burns to the respiratory tract, nose, and throat.

Dilute sulphuric acid reacts with calcium carbonate. But it is not used because the calcium sulphate which is formed during the reaction is insoluble in water. It covers the marble chips and stops the reaction.

Yes, sulphuric acid is harmful to humans if we come in contact of it even in diluted form. It is also called as king of acids because it is the strongest acid .
