Motivation is not only important in its own right; it is also an important predictor of learning and achievement. Students who are more motivated to learn persist longer, produce higher quality effort, learn more deeply, and perform better in classes and on standardized tests.

Definition of motivation:-

अपने लक्ष्य (goal) या किसी विशेष कार्य को केंद्र में रखकर निश्चित परिस्थिति एवं समय में व्यक्तिगत रूप से learner के अंदर उस कार्य या लक्ष्य के प्रति ,विभिन्न गतिविधियों और भाषण आदि द्वारा, energy देना, push करना, intrest creat करना आदि करने का एक process ka naam motivation hai
