Assessments are extremely important while teaching a concept in a class. Not only does it serve the students, but it also serves the teachers. Assessments work as an excellent feedback mechanism to let the student know about their progress. Assessments serve the students by letting them know what errors they made and how they could correct those errors. This also helps the students motivate themselves.

Assessments also helps teachers better understand what worked and what didn't in their classes.
