It describes the situation of constant, unpredictable change that is now the norm in certain industries and areas of the business world. In education, VUCA demands that you avoid traditional, outdated approaches to teaching academics, management and leadership, and day-to-day working and adapt to the new situations with Vision, Understanding, Simplicity and Clarity.
It stands for Volatility, Uncertainty, Complexity and Ambiguity. That might sound like a typical Monday morning to a lot of us, but VUCA is used as a way to characterize the world around us, and is increasingly apt.
