I think to start increasing GK , Teachers can start with structuring GK and make it visible to students

Like General Knowledge is of two types according to me-
1. Static GK
These are fact-based. It describes a past event.
For example Who was the first Prime Minister of India
2. Dynamic GK

These are everchanging situations and events
For Example- Who is the Prime Minister of India for now?

Phir ham isko aur themes me bhi dekh sakte hai jese World GK, India GK and Basic GK ( Basic GK jaha hum subjects ke bare me batate hai) Hum baccho ko Question and Answer ya Quiz ke zaraye samjha sakte hai. Jaruri Hai ki sari information hamare pass available ho. 

Jese me apni class me sawal puchta hu aur baccho Thodi der baad me Apne phone per google search karke unhe pictures and information dekhta hu
