Is social media effects learning or students behaviour of learning.?

There has been a growing concern that social media does impact the student's behavior negatively only when it is noticed that the negative space on the internet is attracting the studens to behave weirdly! I think social media can be positive if it is better directed towards a positive space and if parents who are the bearers of the same focus on the learning from posisitve space ! Eg : Not always cartoons are negative, one can learn life skilss from cartoons like peppa pig , bob the builder etc but to give that understanding parents & individuals around the child will have to given directions to redirect and work on the positive lines & learn from the space!
