The fountain pen was invented by Petrache Poenaru \, (a Romainian inventor) in May25- 1827. An improved ball point pen was invented by Laszlo Biro in 1938. John J. Loud patented the first ball point pen in May 25,1888, but Biro improved the design in 1938.
