Email is one of the best sorts of communication between teachers and students. it helps the assignment in bulk emails to students. It is also helpful mostly in maintaining records. Before one starts writing an email it is wise to consider the appropriate etiquettes of email writing which are the do's and don'ts, which are as follows-

Do's -

  • Always write the important information first. Because no one has much time to read all or long messages.
  • Use simple grammar, so that everyone can understand.
  • To make it easier for the students to understand. Use short sentences, as no one is interested to read all the long information or text.
  • Use paragraphs to keep the mail clear and easy to understand. so that one doesn't get bored or lazy thinking the text is too long. The use of paragraphs makes it looks good and nice to read.

Don'ts -
  • We should never write anything except for the subject of the email in the 'subject' portion of the email.
  • Avoid writing irrelevant sentences As no one has time to read all the long long boring sentences.
  • We should not give personal information to professionals email you should not disclose your personal info as it's for you only. And no one is interested to know about your personal info.
  • We should not use a different font/size within the single mail as it will look inappropriate like some sentences seem quite big some small. it shows your unprofessionalism.
  • Do not use italics or exclamation marks within the mail. as it should be written in a simple way no need to decorate it so much.
  • Do not use shortcuts in the sentences. as it may create some complications.

When one follows or uses all these etiquettes of email writing he/ she can communicate effectively or efficiently even with his or her students or faculty in a better way or we can say email writing at his fingertips.
