Intelligence- The Ultimate Weapon

You have a brain in your head, you have feet in your shoes. You can steer yourself in any direction you choose. You are on your own, and you know what you know. And you are the guy who will decide where to go, and this decision comes from the brain, Is it called “INTELLIGENCE ???”

Let’s take an example- a dog can bark, a cat can meow, a bird can chirp but does it makes sense? , no but when a human says something it means a lot. This ability of humans makes them unique from other species. Intelligence is the ability that makes us special as well as vulnerable.

It might seem useless to define such a simple word. After all, we have all heard this word hundreds of times and probably have a general understanding of its meaning. However, the concept of intelligence has been a widely debated topic among members of the psychology community for a long time ago.

Intelligence has been defined in many ways: higher-level abilities (such as abstract reasoning, mental representation, problem-solving, and decision making), the ability to learn, emotional knowledge, creativity, and adaptation to meet the demands of the environment effectively.

The main features of Intelligence are the following:
  • Intelligence is an innate natural endowment of the child
  • It helps the child in maximum learning in a minimum period of time
  • The child is able to foresee the future and plan accordingly
  • The child is able to take advantage of his previous experiences
  • The child faces the future with compliance
  • He develops a sense of discrimination between right and wrong
  • The developmental period of intelligence is from birth to adolescence
  • There is a minor difference in the development of intelligence between boys and girls
  • There are individual differences with regard to the intelligence between boys and girls
  • Intelligence is mostly determined by heredity but a suitable environment is necessary to improve it

Human intelligence is such a debatable topic that is bagged the pinnacle position on the mind of neurobiologists, psychologists. This topic emerges from a psychological point of view but its tail remains nonterminated as there is a lot to discover by using human intelligence.  So here arises the conflict as we want to discover the cause of discovery by using the discovered device. Generally, the anatomist propounded that intelligence is all about adaptation, experience, cognition perception, and memory. Let’s take an example; a student in school learns the material he needs to know in order to do well in a course, a physician treating a patient with unfamiliar symptoms learns about the underlying disease by adapting this new experience in this changing environment. The person tries to perceive the knowledge through his senses and apply it in real life to get the desired result.

The main emphasis in a definition of intelligence is that it is not a cognitive or mental process rather a selective combination of these processes that is purposively directed toward effective adaptation.

Intelligence makes us smart, no doubt but at the very moment, it makes us porous by channelizing our weakness as they use it as their weapon. Let's take an example in previous decade Nokia 1600 is considered to be undisputable king among the telephone industry, it consists of limited facilities so difficult to be a victim of being hacked when in this decade the smartphone replaces this with a lot of specification which makes it more prone to be hacked victim.

Artificial intelligence is a term which is barely been used in past but in today's era, it tries to substitute human intelligence. To sum it up it looks all set to be the future of this changing world. With this, the future seems intriguing and exciting.
