Vision in One’s Life

Knowledge gurus say great visionaries are highly successful people. Visions are life aims which we wish to accomplish at a certain point in time. But those who define it precisely are the biggest winners. The word “VISION” means the ability to see things that are invisible.

In our life, everyone should have a goal so as to achieve success in life. Through this, we are able to know at what and which place we want us to stand. Of Course, our dreams and goals are going to change over time, but let us focus on what we want right now. We don’t have to figure out our entire life right away but doing this can give us a little way out.

We can figure out and create  our goals in different fields of our life and career like:

  • CAREER - where are we working, who are working with us, what we are working on, etc.
  • HEALTH- what are we doing to stay healthy, are we free from illness, how would we stay fit
  • RELATIONSHIPS- what is our relationship with our families like, how often do we see or meet our friends, how can we build a healthy relationship in our surroundings
  • RECREATION- what we do in our free time, what hobbies are we working on, where we want to have a vacation

So these are some of our small goals in day-to-day life. By maintaining these we can be able to focus on our vision of our life.

Visions help us to decide our course of action. It pushes us to take initiative to achieve our goal. In not having a vision in life, a person may disregard some significant moments of their life. Life without an aim is almost meaningless. The various importance of vision is:

  • A vision puts substances behind your goals
  • A vision makes it easier to get through obstacles
  • A vision sets our expectations
  • It makes us more creative

I think if a person is not pursuing any goal or vision in his/her life then he/she could get easily fooled by people because in today's era there are too many people who give useless advice which may be or may not be useful. If we have a specific vision we won't go into their words or thoughts.

We can set a number of goals at different levels like:

  • First, you can set a big picture of what you want to do in your life
  • Then you can split these goals into small ones that you must hit to reach lifetime goals
  • Finally, as you have planned, you can start working on it to achieve it

It is also important to set realistic goals so that we can achieve them. Also, make sure that your visions should be inspiring enough to you and must be challenging.

These ways of making visions can be more powerful by making the use of SMART mnemonic.

  1. S- Specific or Significant
  2. M- Measurable or meaningful
  3. A- Attainable or action-oriented
  4. R- Relevant
  5. T- Trackable or time-bound

WE can site a number of examples to it some of which are-

Instead of having ‘traveling the whole world in one go as a goal, we can have like travel to a list of places within a time period limit. This way of making plans is more successful.

Another example to have a specific vision is that I will behave well so as to become light and not a roadblock to others who choose to follow me, I will expect no more of others than I expect for myself, I want to have a career that includes constant learning and improvement of myself.

These were some of the thoughts which I prefer or advise others to maintain and have a peaceful and organized life. I personally follow these. I hope my experiences help some of you reading this piece of writing right now.

Cheers to your success!
