Tell us about yourself

My name is Niladrita Bhowmik and I am 12 years old. I study in class 6 in Sri Krishna Mission School , Agartala. I like going to school everyday and meeting my friends. I like the subjects and the teachers are very good and humble. As I grow up, I would like to pursue a degree in medical sciences and become a doctor.

What is your most preferred way of learning?

I like to study with my friends in the form of group activities. I follow the lessons taught in the class and at home I practise the exercises in order to increase my retention power, if I face any difficulty or doubt I seek help from my teacher. I ask the class teacher and she helps me.

What is your favourite subject and what do you like the most about it?

My favourite subject is Mathematics and I really like studying new mathematical concepts and solving problems. I especially like Math, as it requires concept understanding rather than simple rote learning. One does not have to mug up long paragraphs but learn a few formulas and start solving any given question.

How were you introduced to Gurushala?

My father introduced me to Gurushala as he is a teacher himself in my school. He guided me and showed how Gurushala is full of resources that can help students like me and how students can learn so much in so many different ways by using a platform like Gurushala.

What is your best memory so far?

One of my favourite memories was when I was appreciated by the principal of the school for scoring highest grades in Mathematics in my class. Furthermore, that was one of the proudest moments for me and my father as he was the math teacher of my class and I topped in the very same subject.

In what activities of Gurushala have you participated?

I have participated in Gurushala National Aptitude Test, quizzes on Pattern and series topics on Gurushala. It was an enriching experience and I really look forward to participate in more similar activities organised by Gurushala.

How has Gurushala helped you in your journey as a student?

Gurushala helped me to learn new things in different ways. There is so much to explore! Starting from courses to digital libraries, Gurushala has a plethora of content that can used for me to understand and learn new topics and revise old topic. I love following the videos uploaded in the digital library section.

What is one thing that you like the most about your favourite teacher?

My favourite teacher is my Math teacher Mr. Nirmal Bhowmik. He is my father and I love that he is my teacher as well. According to me he teaches the best and I also get help at home whenever I face any problem. He is my guide and I am proud of him and I wish to become like him as he is an inspiration for me.
