Devtanoy Halder is a student of Umakanta Academy English Medium School, from West Tripura. He studies is class 8th and loves Science and Math. He also enjoys coding classes on Gurushala Academy and wants to become a software engineer.

Tell us a little bit about yourself

My self Devtanoy Halder from class 8 living in Tripura, Agartala. My hobby is playing football and I am an enthusiast of learning football tricks. I can spend a lifetime just learning these tricks and mastering it. At School, I like Science and Mathematics and want to pursue that in future as well. One day, I aspire to become a software engineer.

What is your most preferred way of learning?

Firsly I spend time in understanding a topic in detail and clear my doubts with the help of my teacher. Subsequently, I read the textbook. Then I make questions by myself from the textbook to test my own understanding of the given topic.

What is your favourite subject and what do you like the most about that subject?

I like science and math. I like it because this is based on our life and it is implemented in real life problems which makes it all the way more relatable. Nobody has completed the complete knowledge of science and math since these two subjects are ever evolving. We can keep learning many things related to science and Math till our last day on the earth. Thus, that's the reason I like these subjects the most.

How were you introduced to Gurushala?

I got introduced to Gurushala when I registered for Gurushala National Aptitude test. The exam tested our abilities on subjects like math science and social science. After that I was introduced to Gurushala Academy where live classes were conducted. I really enjoy the lectures on Gurushala Academy.

What is your favorite section of Gurushala and why?

Personally, my favourite subject on Gurushala Academy is coding. Coding has become an important subject in the curriculum and it is very interesting also. I like the Samarth sir's coding section because he makes it very easy for me to understand coding. He has helped me by introducing me to C++ and its functions.

What is the one thing you like the most about your favorite teachers?

I like when teachers make the class more interactive and comfortable. Some of our teachers crack jokes in the class to make us laugh and more interested in the class. Moreover, students are comfortable in asking doubts to these teachers and sometimes we don’t even have to ask, our teachers simply understand by looking at our facial expressions that shows we have doubts about a particular topic.
