An Aspiring Doctor From Maharashtra

Madhura is a student from Solapur Maharahtra. She studies in class 9th at Laxmibai Bhaurao Patil Mahila Mahavidyalaya and she loves Marathi. She aspires to become a doctor when she grows up.

Tell us a little bit about yourself (like your favorite subject and your hobbies)

My name is Madhura Anil Salawade and I study in standard nine. I live in Solapur; Maharashtra and my favourite subject is Marathi. When I am older, I want pursue medical and become a successful doctor.

What is your most preferred way of learning?

I really enjoy and learn better when I listen to my teachers’ lecture. I like how they explain each small part of a complex concept and help their students understand in depth. Apart from lectures, I like to read. Reading textbooks provides me a strategic understanding of the subject.

What is your favourite subject and what do you like the most about that subject?

As I mentioned earlier, my favourite subject is Marathi. I love this subject because it is our native language and I find it a beautiful language which represents a deep history of my homeland as well.  Other than Marathi I speak Hindi and English as well and I really like these subjects as well.

How were you introduced to Gurushala?

We were told by the teachers of our school to install Gurushala app and attend lectures on Gurushala Academy over there. I find it very convenient to study in Gurushala app as it is available on the phone which has good mobility. Moreover, we get all the subjects there and various courses are also available for students to learn better.

What is your favorite section of Gurushala and why?

My favourite section is courses module section. It has both academic and non-academic courses which is both informative and engaging. I have looked through it thoroughly and liked it as we do not get many things in text books but we find it here, it is very helpful.

What is your best memory so far with your teachers or your friends?

Once I was appreciated for my good handwriting in school, which made me feel very happy. That is why, I have been chosen for writing in many competitions hosted by the school and for events as well.

How has Gurushala helped you in your journey as a student?

I was very weak in Mathematics when I started taking part in Gurushala Academy. Gurushala played an important role in improving my fear of Mathematics. I followed many lectures and courses and videos and worked on my weak areas and that helped me to score better than before.

What is the one thing you like the most about your favorite teachers?

My favourite teacher is Mrs. Kadam ma’am in my school. She is my Marathi teacher. I admire her because whenever I am in trouble or face any problem or doubts in lectures, she puts a special emphasis in explaining me. I really appreciate the fact that I can reach out to her anytime for my problems.
