Stories of Indian Classrooms

A Mathematics Enthusiast from Maharashtra

Tell us a little bit about yourself.

I am Shrutika Jagdish Musmade and I am currently studying in standard 9th in Sarai Siksha Sadan Padmashree Doctor Ravi Padukone school where my parents are also working as teachers. I feel I am very lucky to have my parents as my teachers as I get good guidance and lessons from them at both home and school. When I am older, I want to become a doctor and help the needy.

What is your most preferred way of learning?

I like to work upon and improve my retention by making notes in writing of the concepts taught in class. For math I practice sums to develop a stronger concept. I prefer solving the exercises after the lesson has been completed.

What is your favorite subject and what do you like the most about that subject?

My favourite subject is Mathematics. I like Mathematics since I was a child. I like Math the most because its where I can get to learn about numbers, I find it more approachable while learning and it also helps in sharpening my mind.

How were you introduced to Gurushala?

I was introduced to Gurushala by my school. Once, there was an event where they showed and oriented us Gurushala app, how it can be used on phone for learning and the different sections available there to study anytime as per our wish.

What is your favourite section of Gurushala and why?

My favourite section on Gurushala is the digital content library section where I can see many animated videos, infographic PDFs etc.  the content of these videos and lecture are short and engaging and helps me understand topics in a very short period of time.

What is your best memory so far with your teachers or your friends?

I have always looked up to my mother, not only because she is my parent but also because she is my teacher. One of my most cherished memory was when my mother became my class teacher as well, when I was in Class 8th. I was very happy and excited.

How has Gurushala helped you in your journey as a student?

I love Mathematics so I followed Gurushala and learn more on different formulae in Math and different concepts as well. I solved many quizzes as it was an exciting opportunity to learn and it further enhanced my understanding ability.

What is the one thing you like the most about your favorite teachers?

All my teachers are my favourite. But I like my father and mother more as a teacher. They guide me all the time, they are very supportive and have always supported me both at home and school.
