An Aspiring Teacher From South Tripura

Agnimitra Chakrabarti is a class 7th student of Jolaibari Mahendra Mohan Girls' Higher Secondary School located in South Tripura. Agnimitra holds interest in Mathematics and would like pursue her career as a teacher of mathematics when she grows up. She scored 82% in the Gurushala National Aptitude Test an received the 1st rank in her district.

 

Tell us a little bit about yourself (like your favorite subject and your hobbies)   

I am Agnimitra Chakrabarti and I am 13 years old. My favorite subject is Mathematics, as I love numbers and I love to solve mathematical problems. As a hobby, I am an avid reader and I love to read. I want to become a teacher when I grow up. Since I love mathematics, I would like to become a Math teacher in future.

 

What is your most preferred way of learning?   

Although I love to read, I really enjoy learning through games as well. It provides an exciting and unique platform for learning and one can solve complex problems very easily using By learning through games. My favorite teacher in School is Mrs.Jhumur Saha. She makes us understand very tough concepts easily. She teaches us many things through joy and fun.

 

What is your favourite subject and what do you like the most about that subject?          

My favourite subject is Mathematics because Mathematics help us to become more analytical, it helps is sharpening our brain and nudges us towards accuracy. It’s a great mental exercise too.

 

How were you introduced to Gurushala?            

One day I was just scrolling through a list in Google play store and I noticed an app called 'Gurushala'. Upon exploring it I realised that it provides resources for us to study different subjects in many different ways.

 

What is your favorite section of Gurushala and why?    

My favorite section of Gurushala is Online classes conducted on different topics. I am able to understand different concepts in a short period of time. The teachers provide adequate support in terms of providing information on the topic, exercises and games which is my preferred way of learning

 

What is your best memory so far with your teachers or your friends?    

Our teacher took us to a farmland to give us a realistic approach to understand cultivation done by farmers. We often used to go on excursions often with our teachers. By these excursions we learned many things through games or other ways. On this trip, we learned about farming and different processes involved in farming. Therefore, this trip has become one of my most cherished memories.

 

How has Gurushala helped you in your journey as a student?

Gurushala helped me to know myself better as a student. I knew in which concepts I am weak and in which concepts I need to improve more on. I have also participated in Gurushala National Aptitude Test, which was an enriching and wonderful experience for me.
