What motivated you to become a teacher?
My intial plan was not going into teaching. When I completed my schooling, I decided to go for Medical but I started teaching in my own school. My journey began from there when the Principal of the school started guiding me in this profession and enhanced my knowledge along with providing recommendations to me on how to handle the students and I started to enjoy my work. My mother was also a teacher and she became my strength and my motivation. My mother was also a teacher and she became my strength and my motivation.
What is your best memory so far as a teacher?
In my early teaching days when I was in Saraswati School there were students who were too weak in studies. I realised that these students need special emphasis and guidance thus, I personally guided and mentored them and had seen good results. Seeing this, the Principal praised me in front of all the students and staffs and appreciated me on my unique teaching strategy. I was able to ensure the bridging of learning gaps in classes and many teachers who were my peers took inspiration from that. It makes me feel very proud of my accomplishment.
What is your favorite section of Gurushala and why?
I have participated in Jodhpur Manthan Olympiad and I learned how to teach and make videos and how to take different activities. As a teacher if we also get chance to do activities then it is good to perform and interact with the other teachers as well.

Gurushala has played an important role in enhancing my teaching skill it helped me to learn different kinds of teaching skills. In the beginning of teaching profession, a teacher faces many challenges like how to teach and make them understand and how to control the class so it helped me to learn all this. I also attended many programs and webinars of Gurushala which motivated me. Seema ma’am was very kind and helpful she taught on live classes on how to make contents for video classes and how to take online classes.
In what activities/ events of Gurushala have you participated in?
Gurushala has provided me with several exciting opportunities. Some of the activities I have participated in are Watch and Learn Competition, National Teacher Change Maker, Skills Test and many others competitions. Owing to my performance and participation I have also received prizes from Gurushala.
What according to you is a 21st Century Teacher?
Teachers should be friendly towards their students and wherever required children should be controlled and should maintain the limits. The teacher should give activities and find new and unique methods to teach so that they do not get bored easily and solve problems with them.
What is your life motto as a teacher?
I have noticed that other professions like Engineering, Doctors and Entrepreneur get well recognized whereas we as teachers do not get, despite that we are part of one of the most important professions. Over the period of time, teaching has started being considered a secondary career. It is important for the Teachers get the respect that they deserve and recognition in the society and teaching profession should also be equally treated.
How do you wish to bring change in the society?
A teacher should not do partiality among all students on basis of societal stereotypes such as class, caste, gender and colour. S/He should treat everyone equally and consider their ability to learn and give priority on basis of their intelligence as well as weakness because weak students need more guidance and motivation to grow. I wish to bring change in the society by being a good support system to all my students irrespective of their academic dexterity or any other characteristics. Everyone has the ability to excel.
