Nutan Mishra, a teacher from Amethi district of Uttar Pradesh believes in teaching her students through engaging videos, group activities and practice exercises.

Let’s hear about some of her experiences as a teacher of classes 1th - 8th.

What motivated you to become a teacher?
My father, who was a professor of Mathematics, went to one of my cousin's schools in a village. There he met students from remote areas who wanted to study but couldn’t.  This incident motivated me to become a teacher. I started thinking about how I can help them. So, here I am as a Govt. School teacher of Science and Mathematics, a Vodafone-Idea Scholarship awardee and trying my best to contribute in making smart classrooms even in remote areas.

How were you introduced to Gurushala?
I was introduced to Gurushala by a mentor of the Jigyasa team. I participate in a lot of activities organized by the Gurushala team. I am one of the winners of the National Teacher Changemaker Competition 2.0. My most preferred sections of Gurushala are the Publish Your Content and Reward section. I even use the sections of live training, webinars, publishing content, competition and lesson plan.

How has Gurushala helped you in your journey as a teacher?
Gurushala has made me a smart teacher, enhancing my confidence, polishing my teaching techniques and helping me during the pandemic and of course it inspires me to teach everyday.

What is your life motto as a teacher?
I try to give 100% effort to my students not to educate them but also to make them a good person. I also believe that a 21st Century teacher is multi-talented and knows how to build a better future through her students.
