Story of an Aspiring Pilot from Maharashtra

Shmruti Prashant Patro is a class Xth student who likes to study Biology, especially reading and understanding different body parts and gathering further knowledge about it. Apart from that, she likes to sketch and prefers sketching nature and natural sceneries in her free time. Her preferred way of learning is by watching a video along with writing and practicing and learning through games.

Let us look at the story of the girl who wishes to become a fighter pilot for the Indian Air Force and serve her country.

What is your favorite subject and what do you like the most about that subject?

My favorite subject is Biology. I like learning about various parts of the body and getting knowledge about how to cure diseases. I also like to learn about different plants and do plantations.

How has Gurushala helped you in your journey as a student?

When I was in 8th standard, I got a scholarship from Vodafone Foundation through which I got introduced to Gurushala. With that scholarship, I was able to buy a mobile phone which turned out to be very useful in this difficult time of Covid-19. I'm able to do all my studies through it. I like the animated video section of Gurushala because they are very creative and also it's a very interesting and innovative way to learn. Along with that, the modules are also very knowledgeable and interesting.

What is the one thing you like the most about your favorite teachers?

What I like the most about my teachers is they are always ready to clear any kind of doubts whether it is related to academics or not. They are very friendly and are always ready to share more knowledge with the students about any topic. They handle us very calmly and never raise their voice.

What is your best memory so far with your teachers or your friends?

In my school, the teachers are very nice and understanding in nature. I want to share my experience regarding the teaching by our teachers. When we don’t understand something, we ask the concerned teacher again and again. Instead of getting irritated, the concerned teacher makes us understand and learn that topic very well. I like this thing about my school's teachers that they deal with our doubts patiently and calmly and solve each of them.

Thus, her story inspires us to dream without putting a limit on them.
