Keeping Healthy at Home!

Healthy foods are those foods that provide you with the nutrients you need to sustain your body’s well-being and retain energy.

Water, proteins,  carbohydrate, fats, vitamins, minerals are the key nutrients that make up a healthy and balanced diet. Nutrition is important to everyone, when combined with being physically active and maintaining a healthy weight, eating well is an excellent way to help your body stay strong and healthy.

On the other hand, consuming unhealthy or junk food leads to bad health. It worsens our body in many ways.

“ Junk food can shift you to junk store”

JUNK! the feeling blossoms in our mind when we hear this is comparatively less fatal when we add it to our recipe.

Though it seems tasty it is nasty(unavoidable). However, it is inappropriate from the inside as they appear from the outside. Nutrition, health, diet, efficiency are some of the words which you have to miss if you kiss junk food. It gathers much popularity due to its taste, time-saving cooking practice, reliability, and smell.  As a result of which the consumption rate is skyrocketing day by day. Instead of prevailing the truth of junk food, we are adapting ourselves to go along the way. Foods like French fries, pizza, burgers are highly rich in trans-fat, sulphurated sugar, carbonated products.

According to CDC below are some adverse effects :

  • Loss of appetite
  • Learning memory problem
  • Inadequate growth development
  • Fluctuation in blood sugar
  • Fatigue weakness
  • Type 2 diabetes

Hence it is considered as one of the promising alarming threats to the upcoming generation.

“Came from Plant, eat it, Came from Plant, don’t"

Is not it unfair to Make a debate over healthy food ??? It is well said that “ Health is wealth” because a rich man without proper health cannot live his life to the full extent but as the time flies the trend changes we are downgraded to seconds, hence to save time we are relying on packaged food i.e. junk food. I'm not stating that it is bad but excessively always leads to a fatality, which is well seen in this generation's attraction towards healthy food.

So what are healthy food habits? By WHO it should be furnished with vitamins, minerals, antioxidants, plant products. Food should not be chosen based on enjoyment, should be on the basis of benefits.

There are certain advantages:

  • It is composed of all sorts of elements required for a body.
  • Fully complete diet able to increase endurance, life span, strength
  • Complexion, skin tone; it is said that your face is the mirror of your diet.
  • Mental health, psycho-social wellbeing is enriched.

To get the above advantages consumption pattern should be changed.

  • Don’t skip a Breakfast
  • Not a large one but a frequent small one
  • Enjoy the food calmly
  • Buy a healthy recipe book
  • Pack healthy lunch for workspace
  • Drink too much water

In order to gain something, you have to avoid something like sulphurated sugar, alcohol, carbonated water, 3 “S” i.e. Salt, Spice, Sugar, non-refined oil, palmolein oil, trans fat, unsaturated fat.

The more natural and less processed the more it is advantageous. It's completely up to us how to balance the food because from person to person profession to profession diet changes; A diet for labour should not be matched with the diet of celebrities, hence it is said that an individual should not be stacked with only limit and should have the freedom over their diet.
