Power of Subconscious Mind - Book Review

I have read this book around two years back. Since then this book has become my companion which guides me during the tough phases of my life. I would highly recommend readers read this book. Definitely, this book will change your thinking perspective which will enhance you in various endeavors of life. This book is written by Dr. Joseph Murphy. In this book, Dr. Murphy explains how your subconscious mind influences every single aspect of your life.

This book describes the duality of the mind. You have one mind but it possesses two different characteristics. Many names have been attributed to describe the duality of mind but the most common one is the conscious mind and subconscious mind. The conscious mind is the mind about which you are aware ., where all the thinking takes place. However there are many functions that are happening in your body like the heart pumps blood, the kidney has a different function and all this is happening due to your subconscious mind. The functions which are performed by your subconscious mind are out of your conscious control.

Your subconscious mind accepts what is impressed upon it or what you consciously believe. It does not reason things out as your conscious mind does, it does not argue with you controversially. Your subconscious mind is like a bed of soil that accepts any kind of seed, good or bad. So beware of your thinking pattern, what you will think your subconscious will accept and it will happen in your real life.

The Law of Life is the Law of Belief

Belief can be summed up as a brief thought in your mind. As a person believes, so is the condition of mind, body, and circumstances.

You have the capacity to choose. Choose life, choose love, choose health and choose happiness. It is your own responsibility to choose what you want and never be dependent on anyone for your choices.

Imagine the happy ending or solution to your problem, feel it and what you imagine will be accepted by your subconscious mind, which will bring it to pass.

This book basically focuses on the idea of belief or thought. Thoughts should always be constructive in nature. But it generally does not happen. Most of the time we are anxious and we think about failures. Thinking about failures will not yield anything good. You have to replace it with a constructive thought. Constructive thought will yield good results in your life.

The author also mentions various incidents where people have used their subconscious minds to bring a major change in their life.

The book also mentions fears. Dr. Murphy tells that a person is born only with two types of fears - the fear of falling and the fear of noise. All other fears are acquired and a person should get rid of them.

So I hope that you would have loved the gist of the summary of the book. At last Dr, Murphy ends the book with some points. I would like to mention one of the points.

You are a Child of the Infinite Life that Knows No End. You are an Heir to Eternity. You are Wonderful.
