An Ode to my father whom I lost in COVID

All I have is memories now,

The memory of your smiling face,
The memory of our cherished moments,
The memory of your jolly nature.
Nothing is permanent in life,
But memory always remains with us.

Losing a father is painful
But more painful is,
Not able to say goodbye,
Now my father rests in peace.
But my mother cries in hiding.
Nothing can be done now,
All we can do is miss and cherish memories....

I remember the last video call,
A call in which your eyes were saying something but you couldn't,
A call which was last one.

Death is the reality and endpoint in life,
All we have is a limited amount of time.
All we leave is good work and character.
